Issues and Impacts

“No Right To Life” Report

“No Right To Life” is a 32-page report detailing the ongoing humanitarian crisis facing families crossing desert areas along the U.S.-Mexico border, published in connection with the “Conference on Race and the Borderlands: Human Rights, Human Triumphs, and Forging Peace on the U.S.-Mexico Border” organized by the Center for Human Rights and Hansen Peace Chair at San Diego State University in April 2023.

My role involved formatting the final layout of the report, creating custom data visualizations and charts to underscore the intense research featured in the report.

Data and Policy

Center for Policy Initiatives

Annually the Center for Policy Initiatives crunches the big numbers and does the deep math to figure out exactly where San Diegans workers are in terms of their employment, living standards, wages, and needs in comparison to other industries, regions, and timeframes. This gives the policy makers and people the information they need to address issues such as urban inequality, working poverty, lack of access, racial disparity, and educational concerns.
