Long-Term Organizing
Child Care Providers United
Child Care Providers United was a successful multi-stage outreach campaign that helped secure unionizing rights to protect child care workers in CA. Working with SEIU, UDW, Raising California, and Digital Impact And, this endeavor consisted of full branding, informational materials, legislative leave-behinds, event banners, campaign booklets, posters, animations, and advertisements in multiple languages reaching across California.
Events and Marches
Fight For $15
A project I was proud to be a part of is the Fight for $15 campaign, lead by workers, community groups, activists, and labor unions to raise awareness and action about livable wages and dignity. Creating logos, t-shirts, flyers, signage, banners, etc. to get the word out and the minimum wage up! Throughout California and the country legislation has passed giving workers a proper wage.
Public Policy
Schools & Communities First
As part of my work with SEIU, I assisted the team at Schools & Communities First on their Yes On 15 campaign to reset the laws on how California corporate taxes are used for small businesses, parks, and schools. Although much of California is navigating between pandemic pauses and lockdown, Prop 15 was an intense campaign in the 2020 election season.
I worked with the amazingly diligent team at SCF to maximize their outreach efforts designing and translating a variety of materials to multiple languages such as manuals, graphics, infographics, charts, workshops, leave-behinds, flyers, posters and more.
Emerging Tech
CRON CATS
Happily helped the team at CronCats get the message out about their product and it’s happy mascot, which helps keep track of timing and scheduling in smart contracts and more. Over a few months we created all types of outreach materials such as social media posts, branding, as well as online and physical marketing campaigns.
Signage & Service
COVID-19 Pop-Up Sign Shop
At the onset of the pandemic, everyone was trying to figure out how they could help out. I teamed up with Inscriptu, Inc. to turn a small neighborhood shop in City Heights into a COVID-19 Sign and Mask store. I designed and created a variety of bilingual signs for businesses meandering through the lockdown, for windows, walls, floors, and A-frames. From May to October, the shop offered window-shopping curbside service and also sold low-cost masks, face shields, and locally crafted face masks.
The Campaign to Expand the Delaware Hospice
Working with Cindy Hodgson at Incompra, the Delaware Hospice approached us with a goal to expand their main building to further service their clients and visitors. Creating the campaign’s logo design, 12-page campaign book, and other outreach materials, we gave the team the tools necessary to help raise the $4 million needed for the development and opening of the new wing.
Public Awareness
Hudson County Coalition
Alcohol Poisoning Campaign
The Hudson County Coalition contacted me to come up with a social media-based campaign consisting of a comic, animations, social marketing graphics, as wel as placed advertisements to inform people in New Jersey of the prevalence of alcohol poisoning incidents from over-drinking, what to do, and how their rights are protected in emergencies.
