BBHI, Dan Sinnott, Kosher Clothing, NoGoodz

October 27th, 2008

Another busy couple of months, with a lot going on, life-wise and work-wise. In summary of the life-wise: Just got back from Philly from the wedding of my business partner, Sara Hodgson, and her groom Barry Halkin. Congratulations to you both! But now I’m back in sunny San Diego working and walking Lou.

In terms of work—since this is my work blog—I have been very industrious, my friends. In reverse order: Cindy and I have just completed and launched a very quick redo of a site for the Biden Breast Health Initiative which we are very proud of. Yes that’s Biden as in Jill Biden, the wife of Joe Biden (our future VP, finger’s crossed). That was a neat and interesting excersise of the right project, at the right time, at the right size. They had a very short deadline and a perfect amount of content for a small yet informative site that is going to grow very nicely over time and hopefully help a lot of teens in Delaware and beyond.

Dan Sinnott Executive ConsultingJust prior to that Cindy and I finished up a site for Dan Sinnott who is a nation-wide consultant for CEO’s and Executives and helps many companies and healthcare professionsl stay on track and take on new challenges and successes. Both of these sites are a great example of the caliber of work Cindy and I are churning out at incompra. I spear-headed the design of the BBHI and Cindy took on the Sinnott site, and in the collaboration stage we worked together to take both sites visually and functionally to the next level.

Kosher ClothingOn my own time, deep into the night, I have been working on two very different projects, yet both very webby. First off, I have been working on a e-commerce site with a company in Brooklyn, NY called KosherClothing.com. It’s been an interesting experience taking on the task of modifying the pre-fab e-commerce template and going through the backend process with the client so they they could use the software with overall very little intervention from me. My skills over the years of CSS and months of CMS really came in handy, let me tell you. All in all it has been a great success and the client has been successfully in charge of all the imagery and text on the site, as well as the shopping cart, inventory, and SEO.

NoGoodzThe pièce de résistance, however, is what I have been working on in the deepest, darkest of the night and weekends: NoGoodz. NoGoodz is the online ezine for No Good Designs and is focusing on, in periodical format, the latest and greatest in Urban Art, Fashion, Music, Eating, Shopping, Web Sites, and Networking. And it is jam packed full of features. It has a variety of article and interview categories, weekly t-shirt and pin shop, MP3 download section, a restaurant and shop review section, it’s own social networking space with personalizable accounts and forum spaces for members, desktop wallpaper downloads, and upcoming events from San Diego to Philadelphia to New York.

Also, I’ve uploaded Apture to this blog, since I love this blog and I love Apture. And I love you. There, I said it.
