Workin, workin, workin…

San Diego

I’m happy to say that I have been very busy getting stuff done for a variety of clients over here at the plant in good ol’ Philadelphia, but I am more happy to say that I shall be relocating all that is anoki.net, NO GOOD DESIGNS, and Frankenknuckle to the sunnier shores of San Diego, California in exactly one month.

I need new vistas, new climates, new company, and new opportunities, although I will still be doing all of the same Non-Profit/Capital Campaign work over at incompra with my main professional squeeze, Cindy. Ah, the wonders of the internet, how you grace me with such allowances as working 6,000 miles away and yet it still seems I am only 6 miles away.

In preparation I have been working diligently on a redesign for a local pub here in Philly called Moriarty’s. This site—an interesting hack of a WordPress blog—should be ready for launch right before I leave. This site, as well as a Flash/WordPress/XHTML hybrid site I am doing for the East Coast artist/performer/dj Tennessee Arcadia Loveless, has given me more than I need to wrest maximum control and understanding of WordPress, it’s plugins, and it’s widgets. Also, the last few weeks has been an invaluable crash course in the world of PHP, a mysterious land, like the kingdom of Javascript, that I visit often for it’s take-out, but rarely cook from scratch in the kitchen.

WordPressed: Trackaracacycle

Trackaracacycle.com

Another update about the wonderful WordPress: Trackaracacycle is now a fully-functioning, plug-in enabled, PodCasting machine that is now a much easier mp3blog for me to update and keep the good tunes coming to all it’s listeners (About 400 visitors a month).

This is all very exciting for me, as each of my sites that I officially port to the popular self-hosted blogging platform, the more I learn and will be able to offer such great little web gems of technology to my clients. Also, it keeps my hands a little cleaner of coding, although I do love to type out the tagging. I do, I really, really do.

Inkbabies

And also, as promised, I wanted to officially call attention to two other sites that I have developed and launched (hand-coded, as they are) under the pseudonym of FrankenKnuckle: Inkbabies and Pop Trash Boutique. These two sweet and sassy sites have been created by yours truly for two of my best friends in order to help them along with their individual endeavors.

Pop Trash Boutique

Inkbabies, the homepage of Jersey-based artiste extraordinaire Amber Opal, uses a little bit of Flash and a little bit of Javascript all wrapped up with a valid little XHTML/CSS bow to detail all that she does by way of 2D and 3D art and flesh-enscribed masterpieces. Pop Trash is my best friend Danielle’s newly-open girls clothing boutique right in downtown New Brunswick hell-bent on trying to bring back a little bit of style to Central Jersey.

Note: It took me 5 minutes to make this post… BOOYAH!
